Open Broadcaster

I have a black screen and can’t see my strm
Firstly, make sure you have crted a scene and added a source to
actually be seen. After that, you’ll need to turn on ‘Preview Strm’ or
be strming in order to see your strm

Why can’t I move any sources that I added?
You need to be previewing your strm, or actually strming and
click ‘Edit Scene’ to move things around. You can also hold Ctrl while
moving a source to prevent it from snapping to the screen edges and
Shift while resizing to ignore the aspect ratio.

One of my actual sources is black and not showing up

Are you trying to strm a fullscreen game? You’ll need to hook
into it using the 'Game Capture' source in OBS or using a program like
Dxtory. As well, OpenGL games like Minecraft have issues with Window
Capture and you’ll need to use Monitor Capture to show them.

If desktop capture is showing up as black, it indies that you either need to update or update directx.

Will this ever work on XP? What about Mac and Linux?
XP unfortunately lacks DirectX 10 ftures and the audio
subsystem present in Vista and up that OBS makes use of, and as such,
will never be supported. Mac and Linux are planned in the future once
OBS has rched a more finalised state fture wise.

I get D3DX10_43.dll missing error, or a 80004005 error
Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX and that your card drivers are up to date.

Why is my capture card showing up as a red box on my strm
Your capture device may still be unsupported -- plse visit the Problems and Bugs forum and rd the thrd regarding red output from devices

I have flickering with Game Capture on an Optimus laptop
You need to force OBS to run on the Nvidia GPU, otherwise it won't work correctly.
